We seek to recruit ambitious graduates with management potential
The Co-operative Farms run two highly regarded Graduate Management Programmes designed to train and develop future farm and business managers. Candidates learn through practical farm placements and exposure to different business environments and procedures.
We seek to recruit ambitious graduates with management potential who wish to further a career in Farm Management or Fresh Produce Management before progressing to Senior Management.
Fresh Produce Graduate Management Programme
This scheme is focused on the whole supply chain - how we get our produce from field to store. Over a two-year period, we offer four placements covering production through to retail buying. During these placements you will spend time at our Head Office in Manchester, at one of our packhouses in Tamworth, Dundee or Angus and at our farms across England and Scotland. The scheme prepares you for a management role on one of our production units or in one of our packhouses. Accommodation is arranged on your behalf.
Mechanised Cropping Management Programme
This scheme focuses on combinable crops, potatoes and field scale vegetables. It will involve two different placements spread over two years and includes BASIS and FACTS qualifications.
Both programmes include a tailored training programme to meet individual needs.
If you have recently graduated and are working in the industry, or will graduate in the summer, these programmes are ideal for you. We offer a competitive salary along with accommodation and a Career Average Pension scheme. You can apply now and begin this year, or defer your start until next year - ideal if you have your heart set on travelling or taking a break.
