Our stores are notified by email and via the intranet about any new products. So our Smoothie was ordered on the next delivery run. Sometimes a promotional kit is sent out with samples for the staff to try. This means they can talk knowingly to customers and promote the product effectively. There is nothing more compelling than someone in store who knows and loves a particular product. While not appropriate for our Smoothie, other new products may be promoted by utilising an ‘end of aisle’ point of sale.
With our Smoothie now successfully on sale in store, it is the store manager’s responsibility to feedback vital information to our Customer Relations team so the product can be accurately assessed and reviewed.
