The Co-operative Pharmacy is one of the UK’s largest community pharmacy groups with over 470 branches nationwide. But that’s not what we’re most proud of. Our business is dedicated to providing the highest standard of healthcare to local communities everywhere.

We are committed to helping people get better but also to taking better care of themselves – therefore the majority of our branches have consultation rooms where our customers can have a private conversation with our pharmacist. All of our pharmacies offer stop smoking advice, weight management advice and a prescription collection service.

Progressive and forward-thinking, we are at the forefront of pharmacy development. The co-operative has over 4000 stores powered by green energy and we were the first UK pharmacy to introduce Braille to our own-brand medicines and our own brand toiletries are not tested on animals. Furthermore, we led on the introduction of the Electronic Prescription Service which is fully enabled in all of our branches, and in some of our branches we have robotic dispensing.

Our mission is to give customers what they want – advice, support and information on the things that are important to them. This has been our approach ever since we set foot on the high street. We pride ourselves on our strong ethical spirit and local focus that means Pharmacy Managers get to know their customers, not just by their medical conditions but by their first names too.

We really are different from other businesses – and not least because we are here for the benefit of our customers and members, rather than shareholders. It means that there is a different culture across the team, and we let pharmacists get on with what they know best – providing good quality healthcare advice and services to the local community. And that gives you the freedom and satisfaction that only we can.
