We pay highly competitive rates, and salaries increase in line with your skills and experience. (In a recent survey, 60% of our Branch Managers said our package is better than those of our competitors).


We believe in rewarding you for the success you help to bring to our business. In our branches, we’ve launched an incentive scheme that gives bonuses for reaching targets for (amongst other things) prescription sales and reduced wastage. It’s not capped either, so your hard work won’t go unnoticed! We also reward excellent service with a discretionary bonus for colleagues on a managerial contract.


We operate an award-winning pension scheme, which provides a replacement income of around 75% of your salary should you be unable to work due to ill health. We also offer life assurance equivalent to three times your salary, ensuring your family will be provided for.


You’ll receive a generous holiday entitlement of at least 24 days, plus nine bank and public holidays. This holiday entitlement will increase with length of service to a maximum of 31 days, depending on your role.

Employee Recognition Scheme

We believe in rewarding our colleagues who go above and beyond what’s expected of them, with a ‘thank you’ gift to show our appreciation. This can range from a bottle of champagne to a bunch of flowers.

Long Service Awards

Dedicated and committed colleagues who stay with us (and there are many who do) will be awarded a gift up to the value of £600 at 20, 30, 40, 50 and 60-year milestones.

To help reduce your own carbon footprint, we offer interest-free loans so that you can purchase a season ticket from any travel company to enable you to travel to and from work.

    Employee Assistance Programme

    This programme offers unlimited and confidential help and advice from external specialists. As well as a telephone helpline and counselling to all colleagues and family members, it also provides face-to-face counselling where appropriate.

    You’re able to take advantage of tax and national insurance savings by purchasing childcare vouchers through our payroll.

    One of the biggest benefits of joining us is that you’re able to become a member for just £1. You won’t just get a say in how we run our business, but access to additional benefits, including a share of our profits. For the last three years, this payment has been a maximum share of £500.
