As well as serving customers in-branch, The Co-operative Pharmacy also offers a prescription delivery service. This is something that is particularly useful in rural communities and helps those less able to reach us. As a driver you will take important medicines, healthcare products and services directly to the people who matter, ensuring customer safety and satisfaction.
Deliveries need to get to the right patient, on time, and you will ensure all information is passed to and from the patient correctly. You will be carrying valuable cargo, so it is vital that you keep track of all deliveries at all times.
As a Senior Driver you will do all of this, as well as manage and co-ordinate a team of drivers, ensuring a professional, efficient and highly effective collection and delivery service for patients and other healthcare providers – so some management or supervisory experience is useful.
Though we would prefer experience of working in a pharmacy, it is not essential, so long as you are well organised and a safe, reliable driver with good customer care skills and a friendly, helpful personality that people warm to.
While some of our branches have a delivery van, in others you may need access to your own transport. We will confirm this in our job vacancy advertisements when you choose to apply.
