Regional Management

Our branch network delivers great advice and products to the millions of customers who come into our branches. As a talented manager, you’ll play a key role in ensuring that happens — by leading, managing and co-ordinating every aspect of the day-to-day operations across your region.

Providing inspirational support, ideas and leadership, you’ll draw on your management experience to nurture people, increase sales and establish The Co-operative as the leading provider of ethical pharmacy services in the UK.

Divisional General Managers

As a Divisional General Manager, your role will be to look after a large team of Regional Development Managers and a combined turnover of around £200 million. You’ll tackle some big commercial challenges, as you ensure that we meet ambitious profit and sales targets.

To fulfill the complex demands of this important strategic role, you’ll need a strong customer service focus, and the financial and change management skills needed to make sound and far-reaching business decisions. In particular, we look for extensive senior experience of managing multiple retail sites.

Regional Development Managers

Our Regional Development Managers look after a large team spread across a number of branches. They’re responsible for making sure that each branch meets its targets and the high expectations of our customers, as well as the ethical standards of The Co-operative.

In this high profile role, you’ll manage, coach and develop Branch Managers and identify new ways to extend and improve our service. Put simply, you’ll be there for your team — so they can be there for our customers and community. Though some of our regional managers come from a pharmacy background, some don’t. More importantly, we look for a proven ability to lead by example and a positive, inspirational effect on people, sales and business development.
