Training and development

To the best of your ability

When we conducted our most recent employee survey, the vast majority of our employee community seemed broadly happy with the opportunities to develop their skills.

At every level of the organisation, there are various opportunities to learn new skills or refresh old ones, be it through personal coaching, formal training or even study for professional or vocational qualifications.

While some of our training may be included within the early days of a new role, the emphasis is normally on you to make it happen. If you want to develop your skills, it’s up to you to find the right course or relevant person and put it into action.

Being such a big business, development could be across functions, stores or locations. You might want to move up within a management area or you may want to move into a different area or take on new responsibilities. The important thing is that none of us stand still; we keep learning and we continue developing.

You can find out more about the specific training and development offered within each of the business areas.
